Welcome to a new section of Inspiration Motivation.com called "Defending Eco-Tourism", established to bring information to the public about environmental preservation as is related to the field of eco-tourism.
VICTORY!!! UPDATE
THIS PROJECT APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN PUT ASIDE FOR NOW!
With good intentions for this section to grow, it begins here with the issue that I am currently most involved with, the proposed JPA Cruise Ship Terminal at Pirates Cove, within the boundaries of the Timuquan National and Historical Preserve, on St. Johns River in Jacksonville, Florida. The specific area also falls under the eco-tourism friendly zone as declared by the Hecksher Drive Island Visioning Project by the City of Jacksonville. This is a completely inappropriate use for the area and I am against the proposed terminal.
What ever you find here today, is just the beginning. Please check back regularly for the large amount of information that will appear for your consideration of this and similar projects and issues in Florida, the USA, and Worldwide.
