>>>>>“Sometimes You Just Have To Go With The Flow”<<<<<
By Wanda Hope Carter
No matter how much planning and control seems necessary to stay on track, there are always times when living in the moment becomes the best way to move forward. Benefits gained by letting go and going with the flow are substantial. Peace and the lack of stress we would otherwise feel when things do not go as planned is reason enough to get in tune with the process.
Oh and it sounds sooooooooo easy! - “Just go with the flow,” - that is, until something goes awry in the middle of a high energy situation. People who live with these ABCs precepts:
Believe In Yourself
Don't Give Up And Don't Give In
Hang On To Your Dreams
Ignore Those Who Try To Discourage You
Keep Trying No Matter How Hard It Seems, It Will Get Easier
Make It Happen
Quitters Never Win And Winners Never Quit
Take Control Of Your Own Destiny
Want It More Than Anything
And Zero In On Your Target And Go For It!
-------------------------------------------All swirling around in their psyche, have a bit of a struggle with letting go and going with the flow when something occurs to stop them dead in their tracks. (Oh yes, I am one of those people too!)
So, how does one assentingly and peacefully go with the flow when the stream takes a turn in the opposite direction we were hoping for? Our beliefs, like all things, need balance to remain stable. No one belief suits all situations. The ABC precept that illustrates this best is “Consider things from every angle.” My interpretation of this thought as it relates to go with the flow is that we should stop to consider there may be a higher cause to be better served by taking on the new direction whole heartedly. I have seen it repeatedly but only in retrospect.
So many times, I have gone through unnecessary stress, just to discover that the new flow has taken me to a place far better than the one I was aiming for. Admittedly, the benefits are not always the ones that were originally sought. Sometimes I find things like friendship instead of money or patience instead of fame or maybe even love instead of independence. I believe that because I was going forward with determination and a pure heart, my way became diverted so that I might find an even greater blessing than the one I sought.
Therefore, it seems finding balance in our beliefs allows us to continue forward even when we sometimes feel like we have lost our way. That is why the same ABCs that proclaim the above mentioned instructions also say:
Enjoy life today, yesterday is gone and tomorrow may never come
Family and friends are hidden treasures, seek them and enjoy their riches
Give more than you planned to
Love yourself first and most
Open your eyes and see things as they really are
And - Understand yourself in order to better understand others
Moreover, if that is not enough, consider these thoughts found in Secrets Of Success:
Create a plan that includes room for flexibility
Strength is achieved by confronting difficulties
Faith in yourself frees you from fear and doubts
Self-control is the truest test of human mastery
Challenges always offer opportunities for growth
Change is the only constant you can depend on
And SUCCESS IS A WAY OF LIFE FOUND MOMENT BY MOMENT!
Living in the moment is what go with the flow is all about and if you can do it with inner peace then TRUE SUCCESS has been achieved. Balance your thoughts and beliefs and recognize the need for flexibility to move forward regardless of what life hands you along the way.
May your flow be always towards the light!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Blessing Tree
By John Sharrock, Louisiana
I had gone into a supervisor's office to talk about a couple of issues that needed to be addressed. She, like all of the men and women in her department, had been going through the proverbial “wringer.” The stress was so intense, one could almost taste it.
I had been assisting the department during the crunch period of being very shorthanded, and was watching everyone get close to burn out. When I inquired about her state of mind, she confessed that her home life was almost nonexistent, because she was “zombie-ing through the evening.” The next words out of her mouth expressed a frustration of my own: “This work is not my gift from God. My family is!”
Having heard of hanging all of one's problems from the office on a “Trouble Tree” while driving home, to be picked up on the way back to the office in the morning and for a brief second thought about suggesting that scenario.
But what came out was: “Why don't we do something different? Let's have a Blessing Tree. On your way home I want you to reach up in that tree on the corner and pull down a picture of your husband. Dwell on him for a moment. Think about a particular character trait that you adore about him. After a minute or two, grab a picture of your children and do the same thing.”
When I tried it on my way home that night, the stress seemed to melt away. There was a “spring in my step” and when I arrived, a smile of joy and contentment was bubbling up from within! For the first time in two weeks, I was full of joy and a genuine smile was on my face when I greeted my wife and children!
The Blessing Tree could make a major difference in your evenings, especially after those REALLY tough days.
Thank you John for such a great idea!

Going with the flow of the feature article here, I would like to remind you that you possess a very powerful creative energy. Once set into motion, creative energy grows and touches lives in ways you cannot even imagine. Creative energy gets its power foremost from love. When we follow our hearts, any thing we create becomes alive with our energy. Whether it is something written, artwork, a structure, gadget or even an idea, the thing we create takes its place in the universe along side everything else. Even if you never share it with another outright, what it becomes and in turn gives back to you, remains a part of you and reaches through you - to every one you meet.
Therefore, I encourage you to give in to your creative urges and to try this little bit of “Everyday Magic.” During your creative processes focus on the love you feel and the joy and satisfaction you experience in your role as creator. Then visualize it flowing out into the world with a smile and a prayer, touching others and spreading the love and joy everywhere it goes. This will bless the results within your own heart and give your creation a higher purpose.
